2. With the commodity department (buyers) to analyze the history of best-selling, unsalable money, why they sell well, sell bad for designers, the focus is to analyze which design problems lead to best selling and unsalable goods. For example, some are good but the price problem, so designers need to consider reducing the cost from the design perspective; some are actually good, some may be verbose design details lead to customers do not like. In summary, the analysis of historical data is important. This part is usually participated in by the colleagues in the commodity department and the sales department.
3. The designer of a brand company does not produce the series out of thin air. Before the designer issues the theme and the series, the commodity department (the buyer) will provide a commodity plan table. The commodity schedule includes all kinds of items required for this season (like coat X, X SKU; pants X, X SKU). And the price, listing band and other requirements. A commodity plan is equivalent to a framework guideline, from which the designer makes a COLLECTION.
4. The design department develops the design theme and development direction of the new season commodity (as shown below) according to a series of directional commodity planning and popular trend research reports provided by the buyer, and determines the design direction together with the buyer and the sales department (if any).
5. According to the current season product development direction and commodity plan jointly confirmed by the relevant departments, the design department began the development work. In the product development process, buyers often need to hold meetings with the design department, usually 2 to 5 times each season. It is not very realistic for large-scale clothing enterprises to let the personnel of relevant departments distributed in different regions often meet with the time cost and cost cost test in each season. Therefore, in the actual operation, the meeting before the order meeting can be solely participated by the heads of the relevant departments in the headquarters.
