The ultimate fall/winter 2022-2023 fashion trend report is here!
From the top trends that will capture the heart of every fashion lover this fall to the micro trends that have a niche edge, every item and aesthetic you want to buy is sure to be on this list.
On the catwalks, designers in every fashion capital created quite a stir with shocking hemlines, some see-through outfits, and plenty of corset detail. So while we'd never recommend jumping on the bandwagon just because everyone else is, if you need some inspiration to jazz up your wardrobe for fall, this trend report will certainly be useful.
2022-2023Autumn/winter Fashion Trends:
Underwear fashion:
Following the black bra, see-through dresses and pelvic shorts became an all-star fashion trend for the fall and winter. Fendi favors a soft, sexy look, focusing on lightweight slip dresses and corsets to highlight women's femininity in the workplace. Other brands have also embraced the sexier look, such as Miu Miu, Simone Rocha and Bottega Veneta.
A sweet suit:
This fall, there seems to be an emphasis on three-piece suits with a sixties touch. Miniskirt suits have also captured the hearts of designers, with Chanel's runways leading the way. However, the modern salaryman's appetite for classic, sophisticated suits is not limited to Paris Fashion Week. Designers in every fashion capital are drawn to this elegant look, with Tod's, Sportmax and The Row leading the way.
Dress with tails (Maxi Dress):
Unlike the cropped jacket, the trailed took center stage in numerous collections for autumn/winter 2022-2023. This stunning outerwear style, seen mainly in New York and Milan, is no doubt here to stay, with designers such as Khaite, Bevza and Valentino jumping on the bandwagon.
The cat female fashion:
Stylish and futuristic, Catwoman never disappoints. In the spring shows, there were some examples of tights, but by fall designers seemed to have gone off the deep end. These inspirations have led to a wealth of choices for consumers. At Stella McCartney, those who prefer a more elaborate detail can opt for knitted fabrics. However, for those interested in the future, Dior's leather suit will not disappoint.
Biker jacket:
Biker jackets are making a comeback in collections at Versace, Loewe and Miu Miu. While Miu Miu's style has found its way into the academic world, a rugged look is easy to find in this fall's trends.
Corselet:
Corsets are a must-have item this season. Trendy jeans paired with a loose skirt are perfect for nightclubs, and corsets prove to be excellent transitional pieces. Tibi and Proenza Schouler also had softer versions, but Dior, Balmain and Dion Lee leaned toward an almost BDSM look.
Cape coat:
No longer the preserve of comic book characters, cloaks have moved beyond clothing and into our everyday lives. This coat is perfect for making a dramatic entrance (or entrance), and it will give an extra touch to anything you wear. So if you want to channel your inner hero, go to Befza, Gabriela Hirst or Valentino for more inspiration.
Party dress:
Party clothes have become a key staple of most collections.
The look has certainly flooded designer collections again, with 16Arlington, Bottega Veneta and Coperni all seeing irresistible party wear.
Hazy aesthetic:
Nebulous details became mainstream among designers. While some of these looks may get you into indecent trouble in public, that's not what the designers who built collections around this sexy look are worried about. If you're interested in wearing this style, glance at Fendi and you'll know which pair to wear.
Bow tie Fashion:
The bow was the most feminine item and became an important part of many collections within a year. Some designs have flat bows, like the ones you find at Jil Sander and Valentino. Others find frilly pleasure in suspenders and misshafted bows - and these include (but are not limited to) the stylistic geniuses of Schiaparelli and Chopova Lowena.
